The cycle phase shown on every contest is computed from the election date and how well that date is known. The corpus carries its own status column; it disagrees with the derived phase on 20 of the 61 contests across all twenty-two countries, so it is carried through but never read.

Money rows and result rows are held off the site at their full grain: the staged corpus is 156 MB. What is published here is the aggregate computed once at build time, and every aggregate states the number of rows it stands for.

- CLEA is not available for India in the staged master. `results.csv` is therefore header-only, and the gap is explicit rather than substituting an older or unofficial result.

Assets are INR as filed/displayed, `edge_type=asset_declaration`. `person_id` is blank because MyNeta candidate IDs are not official Sansad IDs and the pack does not fuzzy-match by name. Candidate identity and MyNeta ID remain in `committee_name`, `source_url`, and `as_filed_note`.

## Results gap / WAF
- ECI affidavit hosts were known to return 406/403 WAF responses from this box. This was not bypassed. ADR/MyNeta was used only with the mandatory license warning above.
- The ECI 2024 statistical-report archive returned **HTTP 406 from AppTrana WAF**. The old `PcResultGenJune2024` constituency URLs separately returned **HTTP 404**. Neither was bypassed. CLEA has no India rows in the staged master, so `results.csv` is honestly header-only. Do not draw “who won last time” from this pack until official 2024 candidate-level returns are landed.

## Roster and polling
- Official Sansad APIs supplied 540 sitting Lok Sabha and 244 sitting Rajya Sabha members; `person_id` is chamber-prefixed official `mpsno`.
- Polling is the copyrighted August 2026 India Today–CVoter published alliance vote-share topline.
- Next Lok Sabha is represented by the supplied planning deadline `2029-04-30`, `constitutional_due`, not a called date.

## Repair note — 2026-09-03
- Added 2024 Lok Sabha candidate/NOTA returns: 8,899 rows across 542 contested PCs (Surat was unopposed and is explicitly excluded by ECI report 33). Official OGD resource: https://www.data.gov.in/resource/constituency-wise-detailed-result-during-2024 ; license: Government Open Data License - India. OGD metadata identifies ECI as source. Its registered direct-file URL returned a 404 page from this box, so transport used a public snapshot of the same ECI results-portal candidate table; schema and sample values were checked against indexed ECI constituency pages.

- Correction to this repair note: final `results.csv` validation found 8,902 rows across 543 constituency IDs (including Surat), not 8,899/542 as stated above. `STATS.json` carries the validated count. The official OGD report metadata itself notes that its report excludes Surat; the transported results-portal snapshot includes it.
